Level 3 Award in Education and Training
This qualification replaces the qualifications and credit framework (QCF) Level 3 Award Preparing to Teach in the lifelong learning sector.
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an introduction to teaching and training that will give an insight into the roles, responsibilities and relationships when designing and delivering training in the workplace.
The course looks at how to plan and deliver inclusive training sessions and how to assess learner progress and give constructive feedback. The skills acquired on this course are transferrable in lots of related situations. The qualification covers the knowledge and skills required by teachers in the further education and skills sector, such as:
- The roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
- Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training
- Understanding the principles and practice of assessment
The course is usually delivered over 5 days (but we can look at alternatives) and includes a micro-teach lasting 15 minutes on day five of the course. This is a new course and it is accredited by City and Guilds.
