The Chartered Institute of Housing Level 3 Certificate in Housing Practice
The qualification is an introductory vocational qualification for the housing sector. It is for learners who want to develop skills such as communications, technical knowledge, customer care and IT.
It will also help to develop the skills and knowledge of people working in a front line capacity in housing, who wish to attain a generic qualification in housing. The Level 3 Certificate in Housing Practice will also prepare learners for further study and progression to the Level 3 Diploma in Housing Practice (QCF) or the Level 4 qualification in Housing Practice.
The course is offered in a range of pathways and there are three mandatory units to study for all pathways. They are:
- Delivery of affordable housing services
- Equality and diversity for housing
- Professional practice skills for housing
In addition to the three mandatory units there are also three units for each specialist pathway and two optional units. This makes the Level 3 Certificate in Housing suitable for learners from a varied work related background. This course is delivered over a 12 month period
