Level 3 Award Preparing to Teach in the lifelong learning sector
The Level 3 Award Preparing to Teach in the lifelong learning sector is an introduction to teaching and training that will give an insight into the roles, responsibilities and relationships when designing and delivering training in the workplace.
The course looks at how to plan and deliver inclusive training sessions and how to assess learner progress and give constructive feedback. The skills acquired on this course are transferrable in lots of related situations. The qualification covers the knowledge and skills required by those who are new to teaching. The units covered on this course are:
- Roles responsibilities and relationships in lifelong learning
- Understanding inclusive learning and teaching in LLS
- Using inclusive teaching and learning in lifelong learning
- Understanding the principles and practice of assessment
The course is usually delivered over 5 days (but we can look at alternatives) and includes a micro-teach lasting 15 minutes on day five of the course. This course is accredited by City and Guilds.
This was a mandatory qualification for those who wanted to teach or train in the lifelong learning sector which came to an end in 2013. This qualification will end in 2015 and has been replaced by the Level 3 Award in Education and Training which we also offer.
